Intranet and Internet Case Web Sites
Med-Law Connection has pioneered a novel new use of websites,
by developing the CaseInfoSite. The idea behind the CaseInfoSite is to allow
the sharing of case-related information to a few selected persons via a
password protected website. The CaseInfoSite can be uses in a couple of
different ways. The first way is that it can be used as an intranet website.
The website can be placed internally on the system of the law firm or office,
so that only members of that office can access it. This is good option for
attorneys or adjusters that do not have a case management software program
in place.
Secondly, it can actually be placed on the Internet so that clients can
access information on a continuing basis without constantly calling to
get the status of their file. The content in the CaseInfoSite is left
entirely up to you. You can put copies of correspondence, status notes,
scanned medical records, photos, or anything else you like into the site.
You are then able to access the information, and allow others to access
it, from anywhere there is internet access, as long as the password is
correctly provided.
